Bio: Serge Dube is entering his 1st year as the Bucks Head Coach. He has been a key asset to the Bucks organization on and off the ice. Named Assistant Captain since the 2002-03 campaign to being the team Captain the past four seasons that he has played.  In 2006, he was named CHL Most Outstanding Defensemen.   Although Dube does not have the biggest coaching resume, he does bring years of experience on the ice, in the locker room and in the community.

As a player, Dube played an important role in helping the Bucks qualify for the CHL post-season in 8 of their last 9 seasons as a franchise, winning two CHL President’s Cup Championships (2004, 2006), one CHL Governor’s Cup Regular Season Championship (2003-04), four straight Southern Conference Championships from 2004-2007, and five straight Southeast Division Championships from 2004-2008 alternating between forward and defense at times.

Dube, who is a native of Azilda, Ontario, played most of his junior hockey playing Tier II for his hometown.  He made it to the Royal Bank Cup twice (1996, 2000). During the 2000 RBC, he finished with the most points in the tournament and was also voted the tournament MVP as a defenseman. He then moved on to play at the Universite de Moncton for one and a half seasons before coming down to the gateway city.

Serge married Aileen, whom he met in Laredo, on July 5, 2008.  The Dube’s are expecting the arrival of their first baby, a daughter, in August.
