LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, fell to the Texas Brahmas 2-1 in overtime.

The Laredo Bucks and the Texas Brahmas met for the seventh time this season.  The last time these two teams faced was January 18th in Laredo, where the Brahmas defeated the Bucks 4-2.

The Laredo Bucks had a total of six minutes in powerplay opportunities in the first period, but were unable to convert.  Texas was the first to get on the board, when Adam Hogg scored an even strength goal at 14:28 giving the Brahmas a 1-0 lead.  The Bucks were outshot 12-5 in the first.

The second period was a quiet one.  Each team had a powerplay opportunity, but neither team was able to take advantage.  The Bucks did outshoot the Brahmas 6-5 in the frame.

The Bucks would start the third period with 16 seconds remaining in the man advantage, but were unable to score.  Matt Pierce tied the game for the Bucks off the give and go from Neil Trimm at 14:14 in the third.  Adam Rivet also assisted on the goal.  Torrie Jung made a key save in the final minutes of play to keep the game tied and send it to overtime.
